Sometimes many divers tell me; Why am I going to do the Deep Diver if I have already been down to 40m? A very common mistake is to dive to that depth with the basic knowledge of the Advanced course, and it is not the same to go down to 40m than to stay at that depth making a longer and controlled dive, basically with safety and knowledge.

Since the Advanced certification is the ideal specialty to dive to 40m safely and well planned. We do the 3 dives from 30m to 40m reviewing with you the planning in areas you have never dived before.

OVERVIEW: Deep diving allows you to access specific dives and observe places you would never imagine. At these depths you will be able to observe the wonderful gorgonians and corals of the shallows and the whole area you have never visited before. In addition, a good dive in the Nadir exhausting the bottom time in the 40m. or see all the wrecks of the Bajo de Fuera, among which rests the Sirio. You can accompany us to more distant wrecks such as the Carbonero..... In short, you can access the catalog of deep dives that are only reserved for DEEP Diver divers.

THEORY: For the theoretical part we will give you the PADI Deep Diver manual and after reading it you will complete the simple knowledge review that appears at the end. In our classroom we will correct each knowledge review developing all your doubts, this course has no exam.

PRACTICAL PART: During the 3 dives we will perform, among others: planning and safety management in a deep dive, different narcosis tests, descents and ascents without a line, deep stops, specific signals for the use of the dive computer and lighting, multilevel dive management, use of an extra air tank (stage tank) and a selection of exercises and practices specific to deep diving...

ORGANIZATION:You don't need to adapt to a schedule, we organize each dive according to your timetable, although we normally start at 9 am to do a course dive and finish before lunch. We dedicate half an hour of theory review before each dive, in addition to the explanation of the exercises and practices of the dive.

REGISTRATION: You send us an email to receive the registration form, fill it out and make the payment of approximately 20% of the course. We will send you the material to start reading. We organize dives in the sea and you don't have to worry about anything but ENJOY AND LEARN. You are becoming an experienced deep diver.

Learn to know a wreck in depth
Many divers speak of wrecks as "junk", without seeing beyond what is a dive in the submerged history of the planet. Many wrecks have a great history behind (Sirio, Thistlegorm, Rosalie Moller,...) and others not so great but hidden with time (NADIR "The wreck of the Naranjito, Numidia, Thordisa,...) but the most beautiful thing is to rediscover and see those details that go unnoticed by many. Well, that's what we intend, to teach you to squeeze the most out of a wreck from all possible prisms, taking as training wrecks ours of Cabo de Palos. The menu is served, if you want to begin to know the submerged history, get into this PADI specialty course.

The objective is that you learn how to manage safely and develop the correct techniques in a specific dive on sunken ships. Another great attraction is to study and learn the history of some of the wrecks in the area and dive all their secrets. You will also learn how to launch a penetration line and follow it correctly.

OVERVIEW: In Cabo de Palos you are very lucky to be able to dive the NADIR, a wreck within reach of an advanced diver, very close to the coast and impressively large and well preserved. Balkysub conducted in 2008 a thorough investigation of this wreck, which resulted in the discovery of the true date of the sinking and all the details of this unique and close wreck. This motivated us to make a documentary to immortalize the history of this sunken giant, so we became true experts of this wreck that touched the bottom of Cabo de Palos on TUESDAY APRIL 13, 1943.

PRACTICAL PART: During the 4 dives of the course you will practice: planning and safety management of a wreck dive, navigation and orientation, location and investigation of a wreck, specific signals, location of points of interest, possible wreck penetrations, safety rules for unstable sites, overview of the state of preservation of the wreck and a selection of exercises and practices specific to wreck diving. Buoyancy techniques are essential, so we will adjust your position and stability so that you will reduce your consumption and gain in comfort. In addition we will study in depth details of the dive that you have never seen before.

Night diving, everything changes...
Other species never seen during the day, colorful dives, night ambiance, the moon and the stars... You've never been interested in diving at night? It's amazing. Already in your Advanced course you could have chosen to do a night dive to get a glimpse of this incredible adventure. Sometimes you wonder why the night dive specialty if you already dive at night with the advanced course. Night dives anywhere in the world are simple, close to the shore and at shallow depths. But in many occasions we can plan something different. ....

OVERVIEW: It would seem very attractive to dive a sunken ship at night, or some Caribbean style dive in the middle of nowhere... That is achieved with training, if you have other specialties, either Wreck or Deep and also a good experience as a diver, this is your specialty to complete a good curriculum and join us for those night dives that we only plan for the most experienced.

PRACTICAL PART: During the 4 dives of the course we will practice night navigation and orientation, we will analyze the life that these dives harbor and their predatory behavior. In addition we will practice protocols for loss of lighting (we will navigate in the dark and you will have to make the stop at 3m. and ascent to surface without light), emergencies at night, ascents and descents in buoyancy at depths greater than -12m., launching of marker buoy in safety stop, breathing from a safety tank, etc.. Everything to train us to dive in the NADIR at night, among other surprises.

Let yourself be carried away by the current

The most beautiful and full of life dives are usually found in areas where the current is a determining factor for the quality of the water, therefore it is very interesting to complete your training and know very well everything that surrounds a dive in currents.

 Logically, currents produce hydrodynamism in an area, which leads to the transport and movement of nutrients that will be devoured by smaller species. As these are abundant, the trophic chain has continuity and in areas rich in nutrients we can find a great biodiversity, as happens in our area of Cabo de Palos.

 Diving in currents involves planning our dive with good judgment and canceling it if we believe that the current is going to be very hard. We will know to value according to our experience the direction of the current and if we know very well the profile of the immersion we will be able to carry out it successfully.

 Due to the years of experience in current areas, such as Cabo de Palos and the Red Sea, we guarantee you a current course in which you will learn not only about the theoretical knowledge, but also about the experience we have accumulated in this type of dives.

The techniques of diving in currents begin with a good evaluation of the direction and strength of the currents on the surface. You will learn how to use current lines for a safe entry into the water, how to navigate like a sailboat with a diagonal current, how to choose the right route for your dive and the protocols in case of emergency. We will perform the safety stop with the current line and simulate its breakage to learn how to use the emergency marker buoy.

Dive Dry and Warm
There is nothing better than avoiding the cold when you dive and the best diving is outside the summer season when everything is cheaper and there are less people.

To combat the cold there is nothing better than not getting wet while diving, so using a dry suit is the way to go. For this you must take the training that prepares you to use it safely.

In the course you will learn the different types of suits, in terms of materials and use, as well as the different devices they have.

We will practice buoyancy exercises, and general use. Once you have your certification you can buy yours or rent them here in your school since from October to May we have 18 drysuits available for your use. The course consists of 2 dry suit dives. As in every course, you receive your student manual, we do the theory sessions, the dives and you get your PADI Dry Suit certification.

OVERVIEW: Diving with Nitrox is becoming an increasingly common practice, it is not for every dive but you can make optimal use of it. Sometimes you can do a Nitrox dive to feel less tired, or to have more bottom time, or simply for safety, so you saturate less nitrogen in your tissues. Once you get your certification you can dive with nitrox up to a maximum of 40% oxygen anywhere in the world. Think that if you do the Advanced course you can choose to do a Nitrox dive.

THEORY: For the theoretical part we will give you the PADI Nitrox Diver manual and after reading it you will complete the simple knowledge review that appears at the end. In our classroom we will correct each knowledge review developing all your doubts. This course has a 25-question test that you will complete with your instructor at the end of the course.

PRACTICAL PART: You will dive with Nitrox to begin to have experience, during the course dive you will learn the benefits of Nitrox and to analyze the mixture of your tank to determine the bottom time. Can you imagine a dive in the NADIR with more bottom time? Don't think about it and do your PADI Nitrox Diver Specialty.

An experience unlike anything you've ever tried
A new way to dive is to carry the tank on your side, offering you more comfort, better control of your first stage and a noticeable reduction of the load of the diving equipment on your back. On the other hand, it provides greater safety by carrying a tank with an independent regulator. To enjoy this diving technique you can try an adventure dive or the complete specialty and get certified as a PADI Sidemount Diver.

In our Sidemount course you will see up to 4 different wing types, 4 different tank types and multiple configurations to make you an expert Sidemount diver. In addition in 4 dives you will learn the necessary techniques so you can enjoy the Sidemount independently and safely.

Master your buoyancy

From any diver level you can access different PADI specialties with Balkysub.

What is neutral buoyancy? Although it may seem difficult, with just a little practice and the instructions of your instructor you will achieve what you have always wanted, stay still to... take a good picture, calmly observe the aquatic life, pass through an arch or grotto... You can glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or float just by thinking about it.

In 2 dives you will master buoyancy techniques and your dives will take on a different aspect, and you will even see your consumption reduced.

It is of utmost importance for your future as a diver to master the following aspects, so you will enjoy your next dives much more, as well as increase your diving safety.

This specialty has improved the techniques of many divers who now enjoy their dives and make better use of their time.

You will master the correct positioning of the ballast, descents and ascents without a line, effective finning, hydrodynamic position, proper use of the jacket, approaching the bottom without harming marine life, achieving neutral buoyancy at all times.

How? by doing exercises and games with your instructor, as well as exhausting the bottle by going for a ride in which you will realize everything you have learned.

When? You will be able to do it with the schedules that suit you, the usual is in one or two days, where in a relaxed and amused atmosphere we will realize the theoretical sessions and immersions. You can also do one of the dives in our pool in Madrid.
