Snorkeling is an activity that does not involve any additional risk to that of an outdoor sport, since it does not require any preparation and the equipment is very basic (wetsuit, fins, goggles and snorkel).
Doing the activity at the Balkysub Snorkel Center you also receive a safety vest and underwater species identification boards, so the activity is much better and safer.
Once you have booked your activity, we receive you at our Diving School and Snorkel Center to start the day in which you will be accompanied by a PADI professional who will guide you on the route you are going to do, the techniques of this activity, safety measures and an introduction to the sea and marine biology.
We choose your equipment, you change in the changing room and we move to the diving area. Once the activity begins in the water, the instructor will guide you on a very special excursion along the coast of Cabo de Palos where you will be able to enjoy the marine life and the crystalline bottoms that characterize this area.
This activity will prepare you to continue snorkeling on your own but with some knowledge that you didn't have before. When you get out of the water we will discuss the experience with a snack to regain strength and then we will go to the shower.
As a souvenir you will receive a diploma and pictures of this special day.
1) The Discover Snorkeling program is done when the temperature is more suitable and although it can be done all year round, the best time is from April until the end of October, in morning and afternoon hours, about 4 hours from the time you arrive until you leave.
2) You only need to bring a towel, swimsuit and a lot of desire to have fun.
3) Minimum age 5 years old.
